Part of the Columbia River chain, the Upper and Lower Arrow Lakes provide pristine clear waters for swimming, fishing and boating. The surrounding Selkirk and Monashee mountain ranges cradle the beauty of this valley of hotsprings.

Nakusp Golf Club is nine holes on grass and greens. The course is located just two minutes southeast of Nakusp and features 2,610 yards, par 34, and a slope 107 rating. Get your gear at the pro-shop and relax after your game at the licensed restaurant.

Recreation opportunities abound at the local tennis courts, arena, curling rink and squash courts. The newly built skate park is also a favourite among young people as are the two community playgrounds.

There are also clubs for sports and activities from hockey and figure skating to gymnastics, horesback riding, skiing, slo-pitch, squash and ATVing to name just a few.
